It is with great joy and excitement that we announce this blessed news: Nathaniel will be a big brother this coming late winter! He wants to name the baby "Green Lantern" if it's a boy and "Pickle" if it's a girl :) We found out about Baby Green Lantern/Pickle on June 9th and we should meet him/her around February 9, 2014.
A friend commented that this is our "rainbow baby." I wasn't familiar with the term but after looking up the meaning, I am completely in love with it. It is beautiful to think that this is God's covenant between Him and us. That after the loss of Elijah and Ruth, this baby is His proof that He really does give the desires of our hearts. God is so, so good.
"He has made everything beautiful in its time." Ecclesiastes 3:11
I shared this verse when I announced my pregnancy with Nathaniel. Dean left for boot camp three days after finding out we were expecting our first child. I couldn't help but think that the timing wasn't exactly perfect, but God once again proved me wrong. This bible verse held true then. And it holds true this time once again.
