Ears Pierced

A week ago, we took Amelia to get her ears pierced. I have been putting it off for months! So one afternoon, Hubby came home from work and told us all to get ready because we were going to have them done  now.  It was good that he did it that way because I was always coming up with excuses: I still have to cook dinner; Amelia isn't feeling well; we're busy; yadda yadda yadda. I was a mess while they were prepping her but Amelia did great! She only cried for a few seconds and then she was fine. Hubby chose pearls with white gold backing so they are a great beginner's earrings. They match everything and they match Mommy's earrings, too.

Onslow County Fair

A week ago, we went to our local county fair. It was very small but it didn't matter to the kids. Nathaniel had a blast and it was Amelia's first fair experience. Amelia also had her first taste of lollipop, thanks to Hubs. We purchased the unlimited ride bracelet for Nathaniel. It was $16 and we definitely got our money's worth. This boy looooves these rides. Hubby won this huge Spider Monkey by knocking all four blocks at the same time with a baseball. He had three chances but I guess he only needed one. Nathaniel was ecstatic with his prize a

Eight Months Old

Amelia turned eight months old yesterday! She is growing up so fast and even said her first word ! Just like her older brother, it was "Dada." At first it was just babbling but she is definitely using it now correctly. She has since added "Mama" to her vocabulary, too. Nathaniel is working hard on teaching her how to say "Kuya" but we told him it may be awhile before she can say that. Amelia has not figured out crawling yet. When I place her on her belly, she still pushes herself backwards or goes around in circles. She tries to go to crawling position when sitting up but hasn't quite figured out how to move her other leg so it is not stuck underneath her. Amelia also still only has two bottom teeth. Sometimes I wish that is all she will have because they are so stinkin' cute when they stick out  when she smiles . If you noticed in the photo with her stuffed bunny, Amelia's hand is in her mouth. She does that when she is feeling an extre
