Norfolk Tides

When we visited Hubby last week in Virginia Beach, we saw the Norfolk Tides play against the Charlotte Knights. It was Amelia's first baseball game and thankfully the Tides won. We went mainly for the post-game fireworks and I was worried Amelia would be afraid of the loud noise. But she did very well for her first fireworks and just sat quietly on my lap. And after the fireworks, Nathaniel ran on the field.

Five Months Old

Amelia is five months old today! She is such a happy baby and she graces everyone with her beautiful, contagious smile. I especially love it when she scrunches up her chubby cheeks and neck because she spotted me. Amelia had her first trip to the ER this month while we were in Indiana. She first came down with a fever and then a horrible cough. It continued to get worse and when it happened non-stop, my Mom and I took her to the ER. Amelia was also wheezing, had chest retractions and was throwing up with every coughing fit. She was tested for RSV and had a chest x-ray, which were both negative. She was sent home with instructions to give her albuterol treatments every 4-6 hours as needed. Well Baby Visit (Four Months Old)

Weight: 16 lbs, 13 oz (82nd percentile) Height: 26.5 inches (95th percentile) Head circumference: 16.5 inches (68th percentile) Amelia had her four month old well baby visit today even though she turns five months old in a few days. Our seven-week long visit to Indianapolis delayed her routine exams but better late than never! I am amazed at how long Amelia is. No need to discuss her weight, we already know she is chunky from her last visit ! But in just almost five months, our little girlie grew five and a half  inches! No wonder her 3-6 months pants look more like capris! She is healthy and developmentally on point. Amelia is still not rolling over and the pediatrician thinks it is because of her chunky legs. Haha! We also discussed her recent emergency department visits during our stay in Indianapolis. Her pediatrician here agrees with the pediatrician we saw in Indianapolis: it is too early to rule out if all the trouble was caused by just the virus or if we are startin
