Windows Down

My mood is definitely getting better now that we're experiencing warmer temps and longer daylight. For some reason, the time change this past winter hit me harder than ever. (Seasonal Affective Disorder on top of Postpartum Depression is no joke. It's depression on top of depression) Now that it's not pitch dark by 5:30pm and we're getting more Vitamin D, everyone is in better mood. Happy wife/mommy, happy life, right? The kids love driving with the car windows down. They ask all the time if we could roll down the windows and crank the radio up. Even Eleanor, who was the reason I said no for the longest time, now enjoys the wind on her face, too. The last three photos were taken by Nathaniel. He enjoys taking photos with my DSLR. I am especially in love with the last photo. It's soft focus but Amelia's smile is making me feel all the feels. Hopefully someday soon, I can teach Nathaniel the proper settings and technical side of phot

Crazy Hair Day

I am a little discouraged that Nathaniel's new school is not as enthusiastic about school spirit week. (But they do a lot of after school events!) Per Nathaniel, not a lot of students participated. But that didn't stop him from participating everyday of the week. Monday: Pajama Day Tuesday: Crazy Hair Day Wednesday: Sports Day - Go Chiefs! Thursday: Career Day - dressed as a musician  Friday: School Spirit Photo taken April 10, 2018

Kids Will Be Kids

We had a huge snow fall last March and the bigger kids were begging to play in it (poor Eleanor was sick). Well I asked if they wanted to clean Daddy's car instead. Hubby was heading to work anway and I figured why not kill two birds with one stone. Well, they sure showed me. If they were going to scrape the snow off the car, they will do it in their own way. At one point, Nathaniel was on the hood and doing snow angels on top of the windshield. Oh kids. Hubs eventually went out there with them. And when they were all finished, Nathaniel and Amelia were rewarded by playing at the park with friends. (Photos taken March 21, 2018)

Easter 2018

We went to Lusby, MD to spend Easter with my Tita (Dad's sister) and her family this year. I just love spending Easter with family and the kids have been asking me when we are going to visit again. We have a huge family reunion planned this summer and I just can't wait to see everyone. Nathaniel and Hubs were sick the week before Easter so we missed all the Easter egg hunts. So we decided to have our own instead. I provided the easy to find eggs (mostly for Eleanor) but Uncle Mark hid 12 eggs and the bigger kids certainly had fun looking for those. This was Eleanor's first Easter egg hunt as she was just a baby last year and we were also driving from Georgia back to North Carolina most of the day (for Lads to Leaders conference). As always, the children used their Easter baskets from Oma. She sends a new one every year and they are always so adorable! Tita Beng also gave the children Easter baskets and Nathaniel received this Squ
