Only Child Status: Expires February 2014

It is with great joy and excitement that we announce this blessed news: Nathaniel will be a big brother this coming late winter! He wants to name the baby "Green Lantern" if it's a boy and "Pickle" if it's a girl :) We found out about Baby Green Lantern/Pickle on June 9th and we should meet him/her around February 9, 2014. A friend commented that this is our "rainbow baby." I wasn't familiar with the term but after looking up the meaning , I am completely in love with it. It is beautiful to think that this is God's covenant between Him and us. That after the loss of Elijah and Ruth , this baby is His proof that He really does give the desires of our hearts. God is so, so good. "He has made everything beautiful in its time." Ecclesiastes 3:11  I shared this verse when I announced my pregnancy with Nathaniel. Dean left for boot camp three days after finding out we were expecting our first child. I couldn't h

Project 365: Week 11

71  Super excited to see his Dada home from work. 72  Dentist appointment. My favorite! Said no one ever. 73   Hot chocolate and "Wackles" (waffles) date with my littlest love. Nathaniel and I usually go out to lunch after picking up from school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I really try to treasure this one on one moment with him because I know teenager-Nathaniel will probably not want to be seen with his Mommy in public. 74  I made my husband cry. I let him read my blog post about my thoughts on this day being Elijah Damaris ' due date. He also didn't know that I took this photo but I want people to know that miscarriage isn't only rough on women. It's hard on the daddies, too. 75  We went to Old Navy and they were having St. Patrick's activities for the children. So thankful Nathaniel is not a shy kid. 76  Quietly playing in his room. 77  First day of our Disney World vacation!  We stayed at the Disney's All Star Movies Resort .

Nathaniel has been calling our dog Riley his rescue dog and we still haven't figured out why. 67  Good morning, Sunshine. 68  Yo Gabba Gabba party for a very special two years old girl. 69  Letting Nathaniel color on his Dada's homework. Nathaniel said, "It's beautiful!" 70  Chipotle Glazed Roasted Chicken with sweet potatoes

Project 365: Week 9

57  I was hired to capture an event, which comprised mostly of CEOs of a major US company. I was very nervous and turns out, I had a very legitimate reason! There were more than 200 attendees and I didn't realize how much of a big deal this gig was until they started introducing the people. They were from all over the country! Unfortunately, I cannot share any photos of the actual event so here you go: while the guests were enjoying their dinner, I was mesmerized by these gorgeous chandeliers found in the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center. 58  One of my all time favorite: Vietnamese Pho 59  Naptime and adjusting (not so well) to the Daylight Savings Time change. 60   Anywhere but the toddler bed : Nathaniel moved from his bed to the couch during the middle of the night. He brought his bear Mr. Calimlim and managed to hold on to his glow stick. 61  This is when I wish we live in a bigger city. Best vegetarian pizza I've ever had at Fritti in Atlanta. 62  Tr
