The Pillow Throw Game

It rained during one of our two full days in Tennessee so we spent the first half of the Saturday in the hotel. We had a lazy breakfast, played the "Pillow Throw" game, and swam at the indoor pool. We had eight fluffy pillows total so Nathaniel had a great time building a "house" and playing pillow fight with his Dada. This photos would normally just sit in my hard drive--unshared--because of the awful lighting. But I'm trying to embrace the experience and the emotions more than the technical stuff. After all, with lifestyle photography, the lighting isn't always ideal and we just make the best out of it.

Baby Green Pickle: Week 20

Why we are calling this Baby "Green Pickle"...  Nathaniel would like to name the baby "Green Lantern" if it's a boy and "Pickle" if it's a girl. How far along...  20 weeks. Baby Green Pickle is the size of...  a banana; roughly 10.5 oz and 10 inches long. Total weight gain...  +8 lbs Maternity clothes...  bottoms: yes; tops: yes and no. Stretch Marks...  haven't noticed new ones besides from my first pregnancy. Sleep...  slept a bit better this week since we spent a weekend in Tennessee so I am exhausted by the end of the day. Best moment this week...  I am halfway through this pregnancy! I can't believe how quickly this is going. Miss anything...  sushi. Movement...  a little more consistent kicks. I can feel the baby everyday now and most especially after I eat :) Food cravings...  caaaake. Anything making me queasy or sick...  lean pork meat. Have you started to show yet...  yes.

Tennessee Trip at a Glance

A friend from Dean's work got married this past Friday in Pigeon Forge, TN so we decided to make a little vacation out of it. If you know me, then you know how I live for this stuff. I am always planning for and looking forward to our next vacation. It rained during one of our two full days but thankfully, we were still able to sight see (just were unable to hike like we had hoped). It was a great little getaway and felt great to use my trigger finger again.

Deep Rut

I am in a major deep photography rut. I honestly cannot remember the last time I picked up my camera to take pictures. I'm guessing more than 2 months ago? And even before that, I had started infrequently taking photos, too. I don't know what it is but I am just uninspired. I have forced myself to bring the camera with me (like I used to) but even then, I don't take it out. For example, we went to Jacksonville, NC last month for Hubby's lateral move job interview in front of a board and not once did I picked up the camera. What's even worse? It was my birthday weekend! And with lack of photo taking, I have stopped blogging, too. I just can't get myself to post without pretty pictures :) I'm hoping and praying this hiatus ends soon! But I have been good at documenting our every day life on my Instagram account. So you miss our daily happenings, you can find us here . I guess the (only) good thing about this is I can go back and revisit the phot

Baby Green Pickle: Week 19

Why we are calling this Baby "Green Pickle"...  Nathaniel would like to name the baby "Green Lantern" if it's a boy and "Pickle" if it's a girl. How far along...  19 weeks Baby Green Pickle is the size of...  a large heirloom tomato; roughly 8.5 oz and 6 inches long. Total weight gain...  +8 lbs Maternity clothes...  bottoms: yes; tops: yes and no. Stretch Marks...  haven't noticed new ones besides from my first pregnancy. Sleep...  lots of tossing and turning and waking up in blocks of 3-4 hours for potty break. Best moment this week...  it's a short work week for us! Miss anything...  Moscato. Movement...  little butterfly flutters! But nothing consistent yet. Food cravings...  pastries. Anything making me queasy or sick...  meat. I cannot stand the smell and taste of chicken, beef and especially pork. Have you started to show yet...  yes. But mostly, I look more fat than pregnant. Gen
