Play Set

Operation Living Out of a Suitcase finally ended yesterday evening after a month and half. We drove down from Indiana during a snowstorm, where at one point the visibility dropped down to zero. I'm very thankful my husband is a great driver because we witness two accidents. There were several more along the way that we had to stop to a stand still in the middle of the interstate highway. But we are all safe and Nathaniel handled the road trip well. Our dog Riley did, too. As I've mentioned before, our newly purchased first home came with a custom built play set and we immediately tried it out today. Nathaniel loved riding the "horsey." And yes, it is pink :) The previous home owners had two girls and Hubby and I have already discussed painting it to a different color. God Made Dirt and Dirt Don't Hurt

Yesterday, Nathaniel handed me my shoe and signed 'please.' I think he was trying to tell me he wanted to go out but it was only 11:30 in the morning and we usually go outside later in the afternoon when it's closer to the time my husband comes home from work. So thinking it was just a fluke, I put my shoe on to satisfy the little guy's request but quickly took them off and placed them right where he found them (next to the door). He proceeded to hand me my shoe and so on the third time, I let him grab my hand. Nathaniel walked me to the door, pointed to it, then tried to open it himself. I finally admitted defeat and put his shoes on and took him outside. Nathaniel quickly found a little patch of dirt and did not even think twice about getting dirty.
