Disney 2015

I brought my DSLR with me during our one day trip to Disney. I knew it was going to be heavy. And I knew I wasn't going to have very many opportunities to use it since it was just me with two kids. But I also knew I would regret it if I didn't! Yes, I brought the stroller but I wore Amelia in the carrier most of the time. Almost all of the attractions do not allow a stroller so I am pretty much 99% sure I will not be bringing it on our next visit (we didn't during our first family visit). I felt like I spent a good time just putting the stroller away and finding it afterwards (they move them to organize and make more room for other strollers). The only time I was able to take photos with my big camera was during the Festival of Fantasy Parade. It is less than five minutes of our entire trip but I am still so glad I have these. Also, instead of posting the iPhone videos I took one by one, I decided to just combine them all. I sou...

Crazy Train

I am so amazed at Nathaniel's ability to hear, understand and repeat music/sounds. He will hear a song once or twice and can repeat the tune in an instant. The video below is an example. We were eating our afternoon snack when he started singing "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne. Nathaniel heard this beat once or twice from the 2012 Honda Pilot commercial  and he just started singing it out of the blue. We definitely need to enroll him into some type of music class to help enrich this talent. And I'll be the first to admit that he did not get this from me. I am tone deaf, whereas his Dad has great music ears, too.

"Py-er"

Nathaniel is so ridiculously obsessed with spiders lately. He sees imaginary spiders, gets so ecstatic when he sees them on books and thinks every single type of insects are spiders until I correct him---and even then, he still sometimes insists they are spiders. We are thinking of dressing him as a spider for Halloween, which kind of scares me no matter how adorable he will look I'm sure because I am deathly afraid of spiders. Like, I-scream-bloody-murder-when-I-see-Daddy-Long-Legs type of fear. Here's a video showing some of Nathaniel's latest vocabulary. But as you can see, he says 'py-er' (spider) almost the entire time. Linking up to: Communal Global: Tuesdays Around the World

Videos

These are for our family and friends who refuse to get a Facebook account :P "Vamonos!" 9.10.10 Nathaniel loves Dora the Explorer. We can't stand her loud voice (borderline of yelling) and it just so happens to be the only show Nathaniel would watch. Go figure! "Here Kitty, Kitty!" 9.12.10 This reminds me of the kittens from the Human Society with the way he's reaching through his crib. (And sorry about the sound not coinciding with the video. I've tried to fix it so many times and still, no luck.) "How to Torture a Baby Part 2" 9.26.10 Nathaniel getting tickled by Daddy "Look at what I can do!" 9.29.10 Nathaniel figured out a way to use his Bumbo and still be mobile. "Naptime is for losers, Mama!" 9.30.10 Nathaniel refusing to take a nap. And I must have looked funny that day because all I had to do was look at him and he would burst out laughing. "Massive Destruction" 10.03.10 Nathan...

Big Weekend, Mother's Day

This weekend, Nathaniel had his first big boy food and he loved it! We were going to wait until he is closer to six months but he was definitely showing signs that he is ready for solid foods. I swear he salivates every time he sees food and if only his fine motor movements were in tuned, he'll steal your food too. Anyway, Nathaniel is so ready that he right away prefers his cereal thick and is already eating a tablespoon of cereal mixed with an ounce of breastmilk twice a day! And for the last two nights that we fed him cereal before bedtime, he even slept for eight hours straight (8p-4a). Yay! This weekend, we also noticed a little baby tooth starting to stick out! Nathaniel has been teething since middle of March and we suspected they will start showing but not this soon! It is definitely a big weekend for our little boy: (second) airplane ride, solid foods, and a baby tooth! 5.8.10 He's so proud! Check that out! First try and he finis...
