Our little Princess is two months old! Eleanor reached my favorite developmental stage this month and has started social smiling and cooing. She is such a smiley baby but she reserves the best ones for me. She catches a glimpse of me and just grins from ear to ear! I love this stage where Mommy is everything. Never mind that it is because I am food. 😆 Poor baby had a terrible acne and cradle cap! She is our only summer baby so we never had to deal with warmer temperatures with the first two as newborns. The heat was just making Eleanor's baby acne worse by adding heat rash and making them extremely red. And her cradle cap was so awful that she had them on her eyebrows as well (eep!). But as you can see on the photos, her skin had cleared up very well. And if you're wondering, olive oil and soft baby toothbrush worked wonders on getting rid of cradle cap. This past Saturday, Amelia turned two months old! She has started cooing and social smiling and I absolutely love this developmental stage. Finally! A "reward" after all that hard work. She also loves watching her big brother and Nathaniel loves putting on a show for her ;) Amelia sleeps really well during the day (1.5-2.5 hours) as long as she is being held. Nighttime sleep is a little more predictable now. Her longest stretch of sleep is four hours long and she always wakes up around 3am for her first night feeding. After that, she is up every two hours. She is a slow eater (30 minutes) but I think most of it is because of me. I let her eat at her own pace and she rewards me with long breaks in between. Plus, now that my tear has healed , I am finally enjoying breastfeeding. Sometimes, I don't notice that she's finished eating and is just comfort suckling instead. Our little Devil Pup is two months old today! He now has a social smile but I still have yet to capture it on camera. Nathaniel also likes to "talk" and he has a certain coo-ing noise that sounds like "I love you." We pretend he really is saying it and it just makes our day so much brighter :) Did you notice his "Tough like Daddy" shirt has a bulldog on it with matching camo shorts? ;) Ooh-rah! Dean is now well into his Arabic classes and has been talking to Nathaniel in Arabic (poor little boy is going to be confused with two parents talking to him in two different languages on top of English!) He has his first Sound & Script exam this Friday so if you remember, please say a little prayer for Dean on Friday.
