Zombie Hand Pumpkin

The boys carved a pumpkin earlier this week while I was at work so all I have to show are pictures of the final finished product (with a very adorable boy!). According to Hubby, out of all the Superheroes and cutesy patterns we have, Nathaniel was adamant about choosing this Zombie hand pattern. I don't know if I should be proud or creeped out! The lighted picture was taken the night after it was carved so as you can see, the Zombie hand is starting to die because of the heat (no pun intended). We've been bringing it inside during the day but just forgot to do so yesterday :( And no, I did not tell Nathaniel to put his elbow on the pumpkin! I just asked him to sit next to it and was taken aback at his posing. I mean, hello? I'm a lifestyle photographer. I suck at posing people! The credit is all on him. And yes, I probably should sweep the dead leaves. But really, doesn't it add authenticity and character to the photo? Yup, I'm sticking to that reasonin...

New Rule for Dental Appointments

Nathaniel had his biannual dental appointment this morning and I came to a conclusion that from now on, only Hubby will be taking him. Nathaniel always cries when I take him and never does when he is with Dada! Nathaniel didn't let the dental hygienist take his x-ray either. Nathaniel said he choked and I wasn't there to encourage him to try since I didn't want to risk being exposed to radiation while pregnant. And yet all of these (x-ray, brushing and flossing, exam), he did well when he was with Hubby six months ago. What a punk! We went to the store afterward to grab the ingredients to make cookies. I promised to bake these Gooey Monster Eye cookies (his choice) with him if he didn't have any cavities. Obviously he doesn't or we wouldn't be getting the ingredients! I went ahead and scheduled his next appointment in April although I know there's a 99.9% we won't be here in Georgia anymore. So strange to think that in just short six months, we...

Painting

Sadly, these photos were taken almost a month ago :( The temperature has dropped since then, Soccer school is over, Hubby's brother and fiancee came for a visit, Nathaniel has a brand new handsome haircut, and we went to Indianapolis for a family visit. I am trying to be better at editing personal/family photos and sharing them on the blog---even if that means sharing 1+ month old pictures.

Baby Green Pickle: Week 23

Why we are calling this Baby "Green Pickle"...  Nathaniel would like to name the baby "Green Lantern" if it's a boy and "Pickle" if it's a girl. How far along...  23 weeks. Baby Green Pickle is the size of...  a large mango; weighs more than a pound and a little over 11 inches long. Total weight gain...  +12 lbs Maternity clothes...  yes. Stretch Marks...  haven't noticed new ones besides from my first pregnancy. Sleep... horrible! I don't know if it's my old bed causing the back aches but I am just not sleeping well! Best moment this week...  Spending time with our family here in Indiana. Miss anything...  Pina Colada Movement...  kicks! Baby GP loves to kick my sides and bladder. Food cravings...  anything carbs. Anything making me queasy or sick...  lean pork meat. Have you started to show yet...  yes. Gender... It's a surprise! Labor signs.. . none. ...

Baby Green Pickle: Week 22

Why we are calling this Baby "Green Pickle"...  Nathaniel would like to name the baby "Green Lantern" if it's a boy and "Pickle" if it's a girl. How far along...  22 weeks.
