Top 5 of July to September

" What Little Boys are Made of " Nathaniel is potty trained ! It took us a week to be completely diaper-less (except for bedtime). He regressed a month later but after three weeks, he is now back to being fully potty trained. "Lola's Visit" My Mom and Nathan came for a quick  visit during my birthday weekend and it was just exactly what we all  needed after the loss of E.D.  These two were inseparable . "Spiderman Pillowcase" The reason our transition from the crib to the toddler bed went so smoothly! Nathaniel had to sleep in his "big boy bed" for a week without getting up and the reward was this pillow. " Light " I have always wanted to take this kind of photo: Nathaniel lighted by just the tablet. It was during a summer thunderstorm so it was extra special dark. He was watching Blues Clues  on Netflix and wearing his swimming arm floaties. But my favorite part? His shirt. It says, "My Mom Rocks...

Hello Canvas

A little over a month ago, I won a 24x32 Hello Canvas by entering this quarterly top 5 favorite photos post  on Sarah Halstead's link up . I debated for weeks which photo to use: wedding or family picture, one of my scenic photos, or just a photo of Nathaniel by himself. In the end, I obviously picked my favorite wedding photo. I really wanted to use one of our family pictures but I figured I probably should wait to have one done into a canvas when we are done having children/our family is complete. We originally planned on hanging the canvas in our bedroom but it was just so huge and pretty! So now, it is currently being showcased at our entry door. I also love the little pop of blue color from the table. We have discussed painting it a yellow-shade but I think for now, we are satisfied with it. And since I took this photo a couple weeks ago, I have added our photo books next to the flower.

Runners Up for Top 5 of April to June

Here are the photos that didn't make the cut to my Top 5 of April to June post. Also, I won a 24x32 canvas sponsored by Hello Canvas from the link up! How awesome is that, right? I haven't decided yet if I want to use a family photo, a photo I took (Nathaniel, place, flowers, things, etc.) or one of our wedding photos. "Strawberry Picking" We were able to pick a gallon-worth of strawberries in less than 15 minutes! However, Nathaniel was more interested in checking out the bugs than actually berry picking. After this, he also insisted to wear his "shark boots" for two days in a row. It was sunny. " TWO Men in a Tub "  I often struggle keeping/sharing photos that are not up to par technically such as this picture: grainy, my son is not in focus, random bottle in the background. I am definitely my own worst critic but I'm trying to cut myself a little bit of slack. Because when I am always tough on myself, moments like in this pi...

Top 5 of April to June

I really had a difficult time picking my top 5 favorites photos for this quarter. There seems to be a recurring theme (water) with the initial photos I picked so I thought I'd mix it up. I ended up choosing the photos that depicts Nathaniel at this moment : what he likes and how he acts .  So after you look at these photos, head over here to look at the photos that almost made the cut (will edit later!) Here are my top favorite photos of Nathaniel in no particular order: " Chaaaarge! " Nathaniel was actually yelling, "Lola!" (Tagalog for Grandma) while chasing my Mom. This is one of my favorite photos from our vacation because it says so much about Nathaniel right now. His love for his Lola, Spiderman, running, being outdoors, water and his "cool" (sunglasses). It was taken on our first day at the beach in St. Simon's Island , GA. It is also my first recognition from I Heart Faces , which won me the 10th place on their "All Boy...

Top 5 of January to March

Here are my top five favorite photos of Nathaniel in no particular order: " Big Boy " I woke up one morning and realized I'm no longer a mommy to a baby :( Nathaniel is growing up so fast! (We are also trying to grow out his hair.) "Jumping with Mr. Potato" Someone obviously needs to visit and stay with us so I'll have a reason to decorate the guest bedroom :) However, it is now painted light green! (Side note: we bought a house last November)  "Peek-a-boo!"  We have been blessed with plenty of days with warm weather down here in Georgia. (This photo was taken in early February!) We have been spending lots of time outdoors and have since become 5 shades darker compared to this picture. I spend most of the day doing yard work/gardening while Nathaniel plays and chases our dog. (See the weeds in the picture? Arrgh...) And right where Nathaniel is standing has now become my raised vegetable garden, too. " Tea Collection ...

Top 11 of 2011

It was so difficult to pick only eleven photos as my top favorites for 2011! I really think I spent two hours creating this post because I kept switching the photos. Whew! I also noticed that I am not in any of my favorite photos :( Therefore, my goal is to be in at least one next year!  Well, here are the Top 11 of 2011 in no particular order. "Coffee" Nathaniel thinks he is such a grown up drinking "coffee" in a mug just like Mommy. (In reality, he is drinking milk.) And one of the best parts of being a Stay-at-Home Mom? I get to eat breakfast with this little guy every single day. " Twisted and Tangled "  I am picking the photo on the left for the Top 11 but feel that I need to show both for you to truly understand: The morning before, Nathaniel was pantless when I picked him up in his crib. That morning, I found him like this. " You're Not My Kid! "  We were at the playground and my husb...
