Find Your Happiness

After a delicious lunch at Chuck's , we went to Marbles Kid Museum . I am very impressed with this place! There is so much hands on activities for the kids. I spent most of the time watching Amelia place the green balls to this little chute that sucks the ball all the way up and then back down to the pig's trough. Meanwhile, my sister stayed with Nathaniel as he jumped, hopped, ran, climbed, etc at the workout room. Nathaniel was also able to use real tools. Most kids gave up after they found out cutting wood with a saw takes a long time. But Nathaniel stuck through it. I am very proud of his determination.

My sister had a conference in Duke University Hospital this past weekend. And since it is only a 2.5 hour drive from Jacksonville, we had to come see her! The kids and I tagged along for the weekend and while she was in conference all day Saturday, we went to the Museum of Life + Science . Nathaniel is currently learning about animals that creep and crawl in school so it was really cool for him to see the butterflies. For days, he has been correcting me that butterflies emerge from chrysalis and moths are from cocoon. The museum is  huge  and you can easily spend an entire day (which we did!). We spent the first half of the day outdoors and headed indoors after lunch.  For some reason, Amelia really liked the alpacas. They were newly sheared for the warmer season and I thought they looked hilarious! Nathaniel used to wonder what it would feel like to touch a cloud. Last month, we went to the EdVenture Children's Museum in Columbia, SC and Nathaniel had a fantastic time! He loved climbing through things and exploring everything. Do we have a future dentist in our hands? Ah... it's never too early to get a job :) You can explore and climb inside Eddie , the 40-foot child exhibit. There's also the Body Worlds Vital exhibit next door that Hubby and I are planning to go to sometime this month.
